The Village of Cuba, NY will hold a Budget meeting workshop on Friday March 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at 17 East Main St. The Village Hall Board Room to discuss the Draft of the Preliminary 26-27 Budget.
The meeting is open to the public and the public is encouraged to attend. Copies of the preliminary budget are available on the website at www.cubany.gov or in person at the Village Hall.

LEGAL NOTICE OF CHANGE OF DATE FOR VILLAGE ELECTION And OFFICES
TO BE FILLED VILLAGE OF CUBA
Resolution Designating Wednesday, March 18, 2026, for Village Business
Due to March 17 Falling on the Third Tuesday of March 2026
WHEREAS, pursuant to New York State Village Law § 15-104(1)(a), the
general village election in each village shall be held on the third Tuesday in
March, and
WHEREAS, in the year 2026, the third Tuesday in March falls on March 17,
which is recognized as St. Patrick’s Day, and 9
WHEREAS, New York State law permits a village to adopt a resolution to
move the date of the general village election to Wednesday, March 18, 2026,
to avoid a conflict with the holiday,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Cuba, New York, hereby designates Wednesday, March 18, 2026,
as the date for the conduct of village business that would otherwise occur on
the third Tuesday in March, including but not limited to the general village
election, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is hereby directed to take
all necessary steps to notify the public and relevant authorities of this
change in date.

WHEREAS, the next General Election for officers in the Village of Cuba will
be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees must designate by resolution and publish
the office which are to be filled in such election and terms thereof,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Trustees designates
for the following offices as vacant at the end of the current official year, to
be filled at the Village Election to be held on March 18, 2026 for the
following terms:
TRUSTEE -2 Year Term to fill the expiring term of Chuck Leichner
TRUSTEE-2 Year Term to fill the expiring term of Jerome Swift
The candidates that were determined at the caucuses are
Donna Raub and Chris Dalton.
