The Town Clerk and Tax Collector now have the ability to accept VISA & MasterCard for payments for Clerk Fee’s and Property Taxes.
A service fee of 2. 5 % ($1. 80 minimum) of the payment amount will be assessed on all credit card payments. Payments may continue to be made by cash or check without imposition of a service fee. Note that neither the municipality nor the Town Clerk’s Off ice receives any portion of the service fee

The Town of Charlotte Supervisor & Town Board worked together - - the town wide tax rate went from $5.89 to $5.55 - decrease of 6% - AND the outside village tax rate went from $7.68 to $7.31 - decrease of 5%
