The Village of Franklinville Board of Trustees has canceled the June 24, 2024 and July 8, 2024 meetings. The meetings will not be re-scheduled. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be July 22, 2024 at 6pm.

TAX COLLECTORS NOTICE
Pursuant to Real Property Tax Law 924-A of the State of New York the warrant and tax roll for the collection of Village Taxes of the Village of Franklinville have been filed for the Fiscal year June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025. Taxes will be received at the Village office, 19 Pennsylvania Avenue Franklinville, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8am-4pm (except holidays) from June 1, 2024, 2024 to June 30, 2024, without penalty. Beginning July 1, 2024, 5% penalty will be added and 1% for each month thereafter. The last date for payment locally is October 31, 2024.

Notice of Public Comment/Input Meetings

Please take Notice that the Franklinville Village Board of Trustees will be conducting Public Comment / Input Meetings regarding the Park Square Revitalization Project at its Village Board Meetings to be held at the Franklinville Village Hall located at 19 Pennsylvania Avenue, Franklinville, NY 14737 on Monday April 22, 2024, at 6PM and Monday May 13, 2024 at 6PM.
Initially constructed in 1876, Park Square has been characterized by the National Register of Historic Places as an “historically and architecturally significant example of an unusually intact example of a village center containing a landscaped park surrounded by a distinctive collection of civic and commercial buildings at each of its four principal sides.”
The Intent of this Project is to make improvements to Park Square which will encourage Community Gathering and Events in a manner consistent with the historic value of Park Square. To accomplish this, the Franklinville Village Board of Trustees wants community input as to the type of improvements for Park Square, its future use and any other ideas or input.

Railroad Crossing Closure for Maintenance 7/16 thru 7/21

The WNY & PA Railroad will be working on the railroad crossing on Rt 98 in Franklinville, near Rt 16, beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 17, through Friday, July 21. During that time the crossing will be closed to traffic and alternate routes will be posted/ should be used.

NOTICE OF ENACTMENT OF VILLAGE OF FRANKLINVILLE LOCAL LAW NO. 1 of 2023: A LOCAL LAW TO OVERRIDE THE TAX LEVY LIMIT

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on March 27, 2023, the Franklinville Village Board of Trustees enacted Local Law 1 of 2023 entitled “A Local Law to Override the Tax Levy Limit.” A synopsis of the Local Law is as follows: This local law overrides the limit on the amount of real property taxes that may be levied by the Village of Franklinville pursuant to General Municipal Law §3-C, and to allow the Village of Franklinville to adopt a budget for the fiscal year beginning June 1, 2023 and ending May 31, 2024 that requires a real property tax levy in excess of the tax levy limit as defined by General Municipal Law §3-C.
