The Cuba Town Board is looking for applicants to fill a vacancy for Council Person. The chosen applicant will be appointed until 12/31/2024. If elected, the Council Person shall hold office for a four-year term. Candidates shall be 18 years of age, registered to vote and reside in the Town or Village of Cuba.

Pursuant to ARTICLE 41 SECTION 1660 PARAGRAPH 17 OF THE NEW YORK STATE VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC LAW, all highways in the TOWN OF CUBA are closed to trucks, commercial vehicles, tractors, tractor-trailer combinations, tractor-semi trailer combinations, or tractor-trailer-semitrailer combinations in excess of eight (8) tons. Such closings will be in effect when notices are posted at the terminus of each highway.

VILLAGE CLERK'S OFFICE CLOSED -THE CLERKâS OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED TODAY 1/15/24. IT WILL RE-OPEN 1/16/24 REGULAR HOURS. PLEASE UTILIZE THE DROP SLOT TO THE RIGHT OF THE DOOR KNOB TO MAKE A PAYMENT. THE VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING IS STILL SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT AT THE CUBA LIBRARY DOWNSTAIRS MEETING ROOM FOR 6:00 P.M.

Village *Brush Day/ Yard Waste, Holiday Trees*

***Attention Village of Cuba Residents*** The Village DPW intends to make one last pass of the community for the month of January on Monday 1/8/24 to collect brush/ holiday trees, and yard waste that you have bagged. Please have it to the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. They will not be going back around until Monday, February 5th.

The Village of Cuba, NY will be closed Monday January 1, 2024 to celebrate the New Year! They will re-open Tuesday January 2, 2024 at 7:00 a.m. Happy New Year! Refuse and Recycling will move to Thursday this week due to the holiday on Monday.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Cuba Town Board will conduct a public hearing at 6:45pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the Cuba Town Hall, 15 Water Street, Cuba, NY. The purpose of this hearing is to hear comments on passing Local Law #1 to establish a planning board of the Town of Cuba. The Town Board of Cuba will meet and any person may be heard in favor of or against establishing a planning board.

Village of Cuba, NY - No Sort Recycling 2024- The recycling calendar continues with every other week in 2024- beginning with THURSDAY (due to the Monday holiday) 1/4/24, then continuing every other week on Wednesday- 1/17/24 and so on.
