If elected, the Council Person shall hold office for a four-year term. Candidates shall be 18 years of age, registered to vote and reside in the Town or Village of Cuba.

Pursuant to ARTICLE 41 SECTION 1660 PARAGRAPH 17 OF THE NEW YORK STATE VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC LAW, all highways in the TOWN OF CUBA are closed to trucks, commercial vehicles, tractors, tractor-trailer combinations, tractor-semi trailer combinations, or tractor-trailer-semitrailer combinations in excess of eight (8) tons. Such closings will be in effect when notices are posted at the terminus of each highway.

NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT
TAKE NOTICE THAT I, Allesia A. Heslin, the undersigned Collector of Taxes of the Town of Cuba, New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Cuba for the year 2024. I will receive taxes at 15 Water St. in the said Town of Cuba from January 2, 2024 to March 31, 2024,
Tuesday – Thursday,8 AM – 1 PM in the month of January and 8 AM – 12 PM Tuesday and Thursday and 3 PM - 6 PM Wednesday in February and March.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2024 without penalty. A January 31, 2024 postmark will count as a January payment. On all taxes received after said date, there shall be added interest of 1% to February and 2% to March. A $2.00 fee is added to all payments received on or after March 15, 2024 with exception to those postmarked March 15, 2024. All payments that do not include the additional $2.00 fee will be returned and further penalties may be applied, based on date received.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE pursuant to the provisions of law the tax roll of the Town of Cuba will be returned to the County Treasurer of the County of Allegany on the 1st day of April 2024.

VILLAGE CLERK'S OFFICE CLOSED -THE CLERK’S OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED TODAY 1/15/24. IT WILL RE-OPEN 1/16/24 REGULAR HOURS. PLEASE UTILIZE THE DROP SLOT TO THE RIGHT OF THE DOOR KNOB TO MAKE A PAYMENT. THE VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING IS STILL SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT AT THE CUBA LIBRARY DOWNSTAIRS MEETING ROOM FOR 6:00 P.M.
